RUIN A BOOK CONTEST



Participate in Teen Read Week with the RUIN a Book contest from October 1 through October 20.

Simply add a word to a title to create a funny, new version of the original title. For example, Harry Potter and the Smelly Sorcerer’s Stone or Hunger Games Diet

One entry per day per person.

At the end of the month, stop by to vote for your favorite RUINED book title. The winner with the most votes will win a gift card!

 Joining the Friends has a lot of benefits and they no longer require dues!
The next Friends of the Library meeting is Tuesday, November 7
at 7 pm. 

Learn a language with Rosetta Stone. This vital resource includes 30 languages to meet a range of cultural interests. 

Learning is structured around core lessons to build reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and also includes focused activities to refine grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and more.

Community members can also take advantage of available mobile apps that enable learners to reinforce their language learning wherever they may be.

UNDERSTANDING MEMORY LOSS

Memory loss that disrupts everyday life is not a normal part of aging. This program explores the difference between normal age-related memory changes and abnormal changes that are associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, including some of the common warning signs. It also reviews the importance of receiving a thorough diagnostic evaluation when symptoms first arise, current treatment options, and research regarding healthy aging.
