A Helping Hand for Homeowners in Need
If you have experienced a financial hardship and an increase in housing related expenses associated with the coronavirus pandemic that created a risk of mortgage delinquency, mortgage default, foreclosure or property tax lien, the Homeowner Assistance Fund may be able to help.

Etsy.com: a Website to Suit all of your Needs

Etsy.com is an online marketplace where independent artists and crafters can sell their products. Etsy is associated with selling handmade toys, collectibles, art, home goods, furniture, jewelry, and clothing in addition to crafts and craft supplies. In contrast to other stores, the sellers on Etsy not only make their own goods, but also manage their own orders and inventory.

Therefore, Etsy can be seen as a middle man, assisting these independent sellers in finding customers for the independent sellers and by giving them a place to sell their products. The site organizes its products by category, but also provides a search option if you are looking for something more specific. Additionally, most sellers on Etsy ship globally and allow their consumers to choose from a variety of shipping options and some sellers even offer a free shipping option.

Etsy is also an ideal website to use if you are someone who loves to create things and is looking for somewhere to sell said things. It is important to note that there is a small fee for every time you list an item for sale on the website.

If you are looking to start a small business utilizing Etsy and do not know where to start, EBSCO Host has a whole set of DIY databases including the Small Business Source which you can access using the Dowdell Library’s website: dowdell.org. After going on to dowdell.org, find the EBSCO Host tab, click on their research databases tab, and then search for “The Small Business Source”. The Small Business Source contains more than 400 full-text periodicals, more than 440 full-text reference books, and more than 630 business videos. Many of the full-text reference books are provided through Nolo, the nation’s oldest and most respected provider of legal information for consumers and small businesses.

Also, the business videos include topics such as lessons learned, interviews, lectures, and how-to-tips to encourage success in many aspects of running a business. Users can browse through many topics within the source such as starting and growing and business, marketing a business, and managing employees. Also, the source has a project feature that allows for you to save every source you look at and puts it in one place so that you can easily find them again while working on a project.
