3D PEN CONTEST WINNERS

The 3D art was designed by South Amboy residents using the library’s 3D pen.  Themed categories include: the waterfront, pets and floral themes and the competitive categories include children ages 8-10, young adults ages 11-17, adults 18+ and Best of Show. Winners will be presented with a Gift Card Prize at Makers Day on
Monday, March 5 at 6 pm.

 Joining the Friends has a lot of benefits, and they no longer require any dues! The next meeting is Tuesday, March 6 at 3:30 pm 

Learn a language with Rosetta Stone. This vital resource includes 30 languages to meet a range of cultural interests. 

Learning is structured around core lessons to build reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and also includes focused activities to refine grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and more.

Community members can also take advantage of available mobile apps that enable learners to reinforce their language learning wherever they may be.

The NJ Digital Highway is a place for New Jersey and culture, from the collections of cultural heritage institutions. Dowdell Library is part of the NJ Digital Highway and has shared many of its historical artifacts and memorabilia online. 

Use the search term "South Amboy" to bring up the results page, which is full of fun and fascinating South Amboy history!  
 
Celebrate! The Year of the Dog event will begin at 1:30 p.m. sharp with a dazzling Lion Dance performed by students from the
Edison Chinese School

A delightful traditional dance, fashion show, and orchestral performance will follow.  Art stations featuring Chinese painting, calligraphy and origami demonstrations will be showcased. 

Attendees with food tickets will be treated to traditional Chinese refreshments at the conclusion of the program.
