Don’t have a Dowdell Library card? No problem!

With the library closed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, South Amboy Residents could apply for a temporary library card that would give you only access to free online resources which include eLibraryNJ (eBooks and eAudio), eMagazines (RBDigital), eMusic/eMovies (Hoopla), Rosetta Stone, and JerseyClicks (Accurate & Reliable Information 24/7).

1. Visit$N?pc=SYMWS and fill in all the required fields a. Be sure to write down your pin # as you will need that information to gain access to the online resources when you first log in.

2. After you sign up, some behind the scenes magic will take place that will grant you temporary access to only the online resources.

3. After this occurs you will receive an email letting you know you are all set to go.

4. When the library re-opens, please stop in. We will need to verify your information per the library card application policy before you can receive your physical library card. Please bring with you a Valid NJ Drivers License OR State of NJ ID and a current utility bill or a bank statement.
